Hall of Fame
Lori Coble served as assistant women’s basketball coach at South Dakota Mines from 1983-2011, spanning 28 years. Coble, alongside Barb Felderman, helped lead the Hardrockers to 11 conference championships, and nine national tournament appearances including eight sweet 16 runs and two final four runs.
Lori was also a difference maker on and off the court and had a positive influence on many young people, athletes, and non-athletes. She was a volunteer and served on various boards and committees at the institution and an informal advisor to many students and student-athletes all in service of one goal – the students. Following her time as a coach, she became a faculty member in the biology department where she continued to recruit, teach and mentor students.
