From 1995 to 1999, Elaine Foy guided the women’s basketball team from her point guard position. During that time, the Lady Hardrockers compiled a record of 93-33 (.738), with four SDIC conference championships, one conference tournament championship, and four national tournament appearances.

With Foy at the helm, the Lady Hardrockers reached the NAIA Div. II National Tournament Final Four in 1998 and 1999. She was an SDIC All-Conference selection and received the “Hustle Award” at the 1999 National Tournament. She was a fierce defender and possessed very quick hands. Foy is the all-time Lady Hardrocker assist leader (492); 9th overall for career steals (203); 11th overall in career three-point goals made; and 22nd in career scoring (1026).
