South Dakota Mines

Gary Trohkimoinen was instramental in helping SD Mines XC teams to consecutive SDIC Championships in 1970 (placing fourth) and 1971 (placing eighth) and 1973 (placing third). He also excelled in T&F and was the 1972 SDIC steeplechase champion. At the time of the induction, he had a Top 10 all-time mark in the steeple chase (9:32.04) and in the 5,000 meters (15:35.20).
