South Dakota Mines

In the first year at South Dakota Mines, Jim played football, basketball, and track but decided to concentrate on basketball for the next three years. He wound up starting every basketball game during his South Dakota Mines career. By the time he graduated he was a two-time All-SDIC selection and was the highest scoring guard in program history with 1,073 points.
