South Dakota Mines

Jim Bauer has been a strong supporter of the SD Mines athletic and academic programs for three decades. He has held recruting dinners for prospective students in his home in Yankton, S.D., and traveled many miles to T&F and cross country meets to support Hardrocker teams. He would bring along juices, fruits and other items that helped the athletes compete.

Bauer has established an endowed scholaship for T&F athletes and received an honorary degree from SD Mines in 2003. In addition, Jim has three sons --- Jeff, Steve and Chris --- that graduated from SD Mines.
