Little did one realize that the Lady Hardrockers first trip to the NAIA National Tournament in 1994 would just be an indication of the tradition and success to follow.

The appearance showed the School of Mines could compete with top teams from across the Nation, as Tech won their first game in the tournament over Friends College, Kan., 80-65. The 1993-1994 Lady Hardrocker team made a very important contribution to the history of basketball at the Mines.
