South Dakota Mines

Don and Marge Range have been long-time supporters of Hardrocker Athletics and SD Mines academic programs. Don graduated from SD Mines with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 1951. He continued his education, earning a master’s degree from UCLA in 1961. Don’s brother, Paul, also graduated from SD Mines with an Electrical Engineering degree in 1947. Both Don and Paul worked at Hughes Aircraft Company until they retired. Don and Marge established the Edith and James Range Memorial Scholarship endowment in 1999, in memory of Don’s parents.
