South Dakota Mines

Lindell Sunde established himself as one of the finest distance runners in school history in the early 1970s. He was a member of three School of Mines SDIC Conference Championship teams from 1970-1972 and finished second in the SDIC in 1971. He won the NAIA District 12 individual championship by 42 seconds in 1973 and is the only school runner to claim that distinction.
