Doug Blackwell was one of the greatest two-way players in Hardrocker football history and played 60 minutes in many a game. Blackwell, playing right halfback, was one of the key members of Tech's 1951 unbeaten SDIC Championship team. During his years at Tech, Blackwell was also ranked the top man on Tech's wrestling team. Blackwell was an SDIC-All Conference performer and one of the great running backs in Tech history.
