BILLINGS, Mont. – The South Dakota Mines Cross Country teams competed at the Yellowjacket Open, hosted by MSU Billings on Friday.
Both teams continued their good performances as the men finished in third behind a Division I school and just one point behind Rocky Mountain College, while the women finished second, only behind Division I, Montana.
Top finishers for the men, included
Tristan Enders (9th, 25:23.0),
Joran Lamoreaux (13th, 25:33.3),
Owen Hansmann (15th, 25:42.5) and
Cole Tatro (20th, 26:00.7).
On the second-place finishing women's team,
Allyson Heiden and
Clare Fischer picked up second and fourth-place finishes with times of 22:40 and 22:49.8.
Abbie Saline,
Laine Mannes and
Addison Smetana also recorded top 20 finishes, running times of 23:18.4, 23:49.3 and 23:58.2.
Up Next – The men will go up to Illinois and compete on Oct. 12 at Lewis University while the next scheduled meet for the women is the RMAC Championships later this month.
