MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The South Dakota Mines Cross Country teams participated in one of the biggest cross country meets in the region on Friday, competing at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota.
Both teams fared well, finishing in the top half of their field of 25 on the men's side and 24 on the women's side.
The men finished in the top 10, taking a ninth-place finish, led by
Joran Lamoreaux who placed in 17th with a time of 26:37.1. Also finishing in the top 20 right at the spot was
Tristan Enders who finished the 8K in 26:40.8.
Owen Hansmann was the third finisher, grabbing a top 40 place with a time of 27:08.1
Clare Fischer came in 25th on the women's side, running a time of 23:54.8 helping the women to take a 12th place finish.
Allyson Heiden finished in 48th place, while
Abbie Saline finished 51st. The former ran a time of 24:28.9, while the latter finished in 24:30.2.
Up Next – There is a break next week for the cross country teams, before they head to Billings for a race hosted by MSU Billings on Oct. 4.
