ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The South Dakota Mines men's cross country team was in action in Illinois this morning in a large and impressive field of 37 teams.
As a team, the Hardrockers posted a 19
th-place finish. Among the teams in front of them were 16 nationally ranked teams.
Overall, the team average was 25:23 in the 8K race, good for a new school record.
Joran Lamoreaux and
Owen Hansmann led the team, finishing in 76th and 86th, running times of 25:01.44 and 25:08.82.
Tristan Enders ran 25:23.35, while
Tyler Captain and
Cole Tatro were also top 200 finishers, running times of 25:38.72 and 25.43.07.
Jackson Parill and
Owen Wagner finished the race in 26:56.0 and 27:36.69.
Up Next – The RMAC Championships are next up for the Cross Country teams. This year, the competition is hosted by New Mexico Highlands on Oct. 26.
