RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The South Dakota Mines volleyball team will travel this weekend to Denver to take on two conference foes on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, the Hardrockers will face off against the #2 team in the nation Metro State University Denver at 7:00 PM. The Hardrockers will then turn around and play Colorado Christian University on Saturday in Lakewood, Colo. at 3:00 PM.

Series History

vs. MSU Denver

• This will be the ninth meeting between the two schools since joining Division II
• In the series, the Hardrockers are 1-7 in the short history of the series
• The Hardrockers last win against the Roadrunners was a 3-1 victory on 10/12/2019
• The last meeting the Roadrunners won 3-0.

 
vs. Colorado Christian University

• This will be the 11^th match between the two teams
• The series standing at 1-9 in favor of Colorado Christian University
• The Hardrockers last win against the Cougars came on 3/1/2021 a 3-0 win.

• Jacey Koethe continues to shine for the Hardrockers leading the squad 225.5 points, 181 kills, 3.35 kills/set, and 51 blocks
• Kiley Metzger leads the Hardrockers with 8.16 assists per set
• Hannah Benes has 22 Aces on the year.
• The Hardrockers are 10th in Hitting % (.156), 9th in Assists per set (10.80), and 5th in Digs with 15.48 per set.

Scouting Report

MSU Denver

• The Roadrunners are ranked #2 in the nation with a 13-1 overall record and 6-0 in the RMAC
• The Roadrunners lead the RMAC in Hitting % (.274%) and Blocks (2.66 avg/s)
• Rylee Hladky leads the conference in overall points with 4.52 avg/s. She is also 2nd in the conference in Kills per set (3.67) and Aces per set (.52)
• Ashlyn Cianciulli is leading the Roadrunners in Digs with 208 and a 4.43 avg/set.

Colorado Christian University

• The Cougars are 9-6 overall and 4-2 in the RMAC
• They are currently ranked in the RMAC  4^th in Assists per set with 11.79, 5^th in Hitting % at .238, and 7^th in Kills per set with 12.65
