Esports Takes 3rd in Twitter Competition, Receives Player of the Month

RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The South Dakota Mines Esports team has recently come in third in a twitter competition, earning some additional funding for the program going forward, and now in addition to that, the National Association of Esports Coaches & Directors (NAECAD) recently announced its' Players of the Month for March and Divo Cerjan was selected.
 
The LevelNext twitter competition sponsored by Takis represented several Esports clubs and teams throughout the country, with 20 schools winning prize money for $500 up to $15,000 with a total of $50,000 on the line, the Hardrocker Esports team finished in 3rd place to take home a $5,000 prize.
 
In addition to this, after a first-place finish in the inaugural RMAC Soccar Invitational led by captain Divo Cerjan, he was awarded with the Player of the Month award via the NAECAD.
 
"I am extremely happy for Divo and our Program. His leadership and calming presence helped the team to overcome a bracket reset and win the inaugural RMAC Rocket League Invitational against a very tough Metro State squad, said Coordinator Mike Vander Heyden. Congratulations to Divo, this is a well-deserved honor!"
