Hardrockers Finish Track Season at RMAC Championship

Pueblo, CO --- The South Dakota Mines track and field teams wrapped up their outdoor season with a good showing at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships last weekend in Pueblo, CO. The event was held Friday-Sunday at the Thunderbowl on the campus of Colorado State University Pueblo.
The men's and women's team both placed 10
th overall in each division. The women scored 23 points while the men tallied 27.5 points. University of Colorado-Colorado Springs won both the men and women's divisions scoring 149.5 points for the men and 196 points for the women. Western Colorado and Colorado Mines each placed 2
nd and 3
rd for both divisions as well.
Freshman
Jaycie Stubbs led the Hardrockers women's team winning the javelin with a throw of 124'2". Freshman
Kamryn Scully placed 4
th in the 400m Hurdles with a time of 1:03.36. Sophomore
Macy McClure also placed 4
th in the women's hammer throw with a distance of 166'11".
The men had several top 10 finishes during the weekend. Leading the way was freshman
Jade Cass in 3
rd place in the high jump with a jump of 6'6.75". Senior
Westley Siebdrath also placed 3
rd in the men's hammer throw with a distance of 179'9".
