NEW ORELANS, La. – South Dakota Mines Track & Field saw four student-athletes named to the USTFCCCA Outdoor Track & Field All-Region teams, the USTFCCCA announced on Wednesday.
Augustus Fink,
Everett Gilbert,
Merek Ranstrom and
Isaiah Thurman were all named to the All-Region teams in the South Central.
Fink hit a career-best 60.65m hammer throw at the Concordia Twilight, 0.01m off the South Dakota Mines record. Fink took third at the RMAC Championships in the hammer throw, 12
th in the discus and 17
th in the shot put.
Gilbert recorded third place at the RMAC Championships in the high jump, collected a 2.00m mark. He hit an outdoor season-best 2.02m at the Jack Christiansen Invitational for second place in Fort Collins, Colorado.
At the RMAC Championships, Ranstrom took first place in the 400h and second in the 110h, clocking in at 51.98 and 14.26, respectively. He ran a career-best 14.17 in the 110h event at the Concordia Twilight.
Thurman picked up fourth place at the RMAC Championships in his final season, throwing a 58.84m in the hammer throw. His career-best 58.92m mark came on Apr. 15 at the Bauer Open.
This marks the first time the Hardrockers have had four student-athletes honored as USTFCCCA honorees in the NCAA DII era.

The CSC Academic All-District and All-America honorees will be announced in June.
