During her time at Mountain Vista High School in Centennial, Colo., McCabe had a number of honors and achievements including: Honorable Mention All-Conference as a sophomore; First Team All-Conference as a junior; Honorable Mention All-State as a junior; four-year letterwinner; and a team captain her senior year.
“I am proud to be a part of the Hardrocker community,” McCabe said. “Being a part of the Hardrocker women’s basketball team is an honor. I am excited to have the opportunity to get a top-notch education while getting to play the sport that I love.”
“Molly is an incredible athlete and can score in the post, attack defenders off the dribble, and can make jump shots from the arc,” Larsen said. “Molly’s athleticism will allow us to play faster in transition. Defensively, Molly can guard all five positions which makes her a special defensive player.”
As new members of the RMAC, the Lady Hardrockers will be competing against the very best that NCAA Div. II has to offer. By adding quality players like this year’s recruits, it will solidify the roster and help SD Mines become that more competitive in the future.
“As a group, these recruits bring much needed depth to our program, individually they each bring a skill set and athleticism that will make us better,” Larsen said. “This is a competitive group and I couldn’t be happier that they have chosen SD Mines to continue their educations and basketball careers.”
