Bachand Announces 2026-27 Women's Basketball Slate

RAPID CITY, S.D. – South Dakota Mines Women's Basketball head coach Kyley Bachand has announced the 2026-27 season, highlighted by 13 home games.

The Hardrockers will start the season with seven straight road games. They will go to Montana State on Oct. 25 and Wyoming on Oct. 30 for exhibition contests.

The regular season will begin at the South Central Regional Crossover as the Rockers will take on St. Mary's in San Antonio on Nov. 13. They will go to St. Edward's on Nov. 14 to wrap-up their Texas trip.

Once again, South Dakota Mines will compete in the East/West Challenge. They will go to Northern State to play Sioux Falls on Nov. 20, followed by a contest with the Wolves on Nov. 21. The Rockers will go to Minot State to play the Beavers on Nov. 28.

On Nov. 30, the Hardrockers will take on Waldorf at the King Center to open a four-game homestand. RMAC play opens with Westminster on Dec. 3, followed by Colorado Mesa on Dec. 5. The Rockers take on Black Hills State on Dec. 10 in Rapid City.

After a contest at Chadron State on Dec. 12, the Hardrockers will end the year with Nebraska Wesleyan at home on Dec. 20 and an exhibition game at Colorado State on Dec. 30.

South Dakota Mines will open 2027 with a non-conference game against Chadron State on Jan. 3 at home. RMAC play restarts on Jan. 7 as the Rockers will go to CSU Pueblo, followed by UCCS on Jan. 9. After two home contests on Jan. 14 against Colorado School of Mines and Jan. 16 versus Regis, the Rockers will go on a four-game road trip.

They return home on Feb. 4 for a contest with Chadron State. After they go to Black Hills State on Feb. 6, South Dakota Mines will play Colorado Christian on Feb. 11 and CSU Pueblo on Feb. 13 at the King Center.

Following a two-game road trip to Denver, the Hardrockers end the regular season with Fort Lewis on Feb. 25 and Adams State on Feb. 27 in Rapid City.

The RMAC Tournament is slated for Mar. 2-6, followed by the NCAA South Central Regional on Mar. 12-15 and the NCAA Division II Elite Eight on Mar. 23-27 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
