RAPID CITY, S.D. – (RV) South Dakota Mines Football is set to host Black Hills State at O'Harra Stadium for the 141^st Black Hills Brawl on Saturday at 6 p.m.

Series History

The longest NCAA DII rivalry will be played for the 141^st time on Saturday. Dating back to 1895, the Hardrockers lead the Yellow Jackets 67-62-11.

The Rockers defeated Black Hills State last season 27-13 in Spearfish. Ty Harris led South Dakota Mines with 159 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the victory.

The road team has won the last five matchups, with the last Hardrocker win in Rapid City on Oct. 10, 2020.

About the Yellow Jackets

Black Hills State comes to Rapid City with a 4-2 overall record and 2-2 RMAC clip. They are 3-0 at home and 1-2 on the road this season. Their four victories were against Sioux Falls, Dakota State, Adams State and Fort Lewis. Last week, they dropped a road contest to Colorado School of Mines.

The Yellow Jackets offense is fifth in the RMAC, while their defense is sixth. Kade Weber's 36 total points is tied for second in the conference. Jayden Williams' 87 receiving yards per game ranks fourth in the RMAC. Jayshon Liles is second in the RMAC in tackles for loss and third in sacks. Black Hills State is in fifth place in the RMAC coming into the weekend.

About the Hardrockers

The Rockers are 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the RMAC so far this season. They are receiving votes for the second consecutive week for the first time in program history. Before their bye week, they took down Fort Lewis 30-16 in Durango, Colorado. In that game, Dawson Dunbar put up 110 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while five different Hardrockers picked up a turnover.

The Rockers are third in the conference in offense and fourth in defense. Dunbar leads the RMAC with 103.3 rushing yards per game and 10 rushing touchdowns. His 789 all-purpose yards is first in the conference, while Ty Harris' 684 ranks third. On defense, Jarin Allen is first in the conference in passes defended and interceptions. The Hardrockers are third in the RMAC so far this season.
