SPEARFISH, S.D. – The South Dakota Mines outdoor track and field team continued their outdoor season on Saturday and Sunday, competing at the Scott Walkinshaw Open at Black Hills State University.
Aidan Thompson,
Laine Mannes,
Adisyn Schenck, and
Abby Krumpus highlighted the meet with Thompson and Mannes setting school records. Thompson in the decathlon, winning the event with 6,463 points, while Mannes broke the steeplechase school record at 12:10.65.
Schenck won the javelin and tied for first in the shot put, while Krumpus took first place in the long jump.
In addition, the Hardrockers had over 50 top-eight finishers and several new Hardrocker Top-10 marks.
