RAPID CITY, S.D. – The South Dakota Mines outdoor track and field team competed at the RMAC Championships over the weekend and saw many strong results and finishes.
The meet was highlighted with conference championships on the men's side with
Cole Dobberstein and
Aidan Thompson in the 400m Hurdles and Decathlon. Thompson scored 6704 in the decathlon, breaking his school record.
The men's 4 x 400 relay team also set a new school record with
Eddie Johnson,
Ethan Pitlick,
Brian Keairnes, and Dobberstein running it in 3:14.65.
Emily Hubmer and
Emily Novak set new Hardrocker top 10 marks in the heptathlon, while
Josie Byrne set one in the javelin.
Overall, the men finished in eighth with 34 points, while the women did not score points despite several strong individual performances.
