Two Hardrockers Earn All-Region Honors for 2025 NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Season

RAPID CITY, S.D. – A pair of South Dakota Mines student-athletes have earned All-Region recognition for their outstanding performances during the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field season. The honors were announced Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular season.

Aidan Thompson and Cole Dobberstein both secured spots on the All-Region team, which is awarded to the top-five individuals in each event per region.

Thompson capped off the season ranked 5th in the Decathlon, while Dobberstein finished 4th in the 400-meter Hurdles, earning both Hardrockers a place among the elite in the region.

Their achievements mark a significant milestone for the program and reflect the dedication and excellence displayed throughout the season.
