COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – On Wednesday morning, the RMAC selected its all-academic team for women's basketball.
The Hardrockers had six players receive honors.
Requirements for a selection to the first team are to have completed the previous semester with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above and have completed two consecutive semesters at the institution, while the honor roll has similar requirements but a 3.3 GPA.
Savea Mansfield was one of 10 across the league selected to the first team.
Mansfield was a 2023-24 selection to the honor roll in her first year eligible and now becomes the first Hardrocker selected to the first team since 2021-22.
The pre-professional health major from Washougal, Washington was also an All-Conference Honorable Mention selection for her play on the court as she averaged 13.8 points per game in addition to 5.4 rebounds per game.
Alexis Backhaus,
Piper Bauer,
Samantha Darnell,
Lauren Herman and
Emily Thomas were selected for the honor roll.
Backhaus and Herman repeated with the honors, while
Samantha Darnell and
Emily Thomas earned it in their first season of eligibility.
For Bauer, it is her third time being selected for the honor.
