CHADRON, Neb. – The South Dakota Mines track and field team continues to post good results as they ran a final tune-up meet ahead of the RMAC Championships in Chadron on Saturday.
The Hardrockers continue to see encouraging results as they posted double digits in PRs, new Hardrocker Top 10 marks and several top 10 finishes.
Event wins came in the 4 x 400 relay, men's pole vault, men's shot put, women's mile and women's shot put.
The relay win was run by
Samuel Knudson,
Dante Cabrera,
Owen Johnson and
Lane Thomas when they finished with a time of 3:41.41.
Cole Storlie picked up the pole vault win, clearing a height of 4.60m or 15'1, which improved his PR and was the #7 Hardrocker top 10 mark.
In the men's shot put,
Cooper Stevens threw 14.47m/47'5.75" to pick up the first place finish.
Allyson Heiden continues her run of strong performances, picking up a victory in the women's mile after setting two school records last time out.
Adisyn Schenck also picked up a first-place finish in the shot put, throwing 12.41m/40'8.75".
