BROOKINGS, S.D. – The South Dakota Mines track and field team is getting closer to the RMAC Championships and competed in a large meet at SDSU on Friday and Saturday.
The meet was highlighted by
Owen Hansmann,
Allyson Heiden, the men's distance medley and the women's distance medley relay team setting new school records. Hansmann in the men's 3000m run with a time of 8:34.87, Heiden in the 5,000m run (17:54.38), the men's DMR with a time of 10:22.66 and the women's with a time of 12:46.31.
For the men,
Cole Dobberstein,
Aidan Thompson,
Sawyer Rueckert and
Owen Hansmann ran while for the women it was
Addison Smetana,
Katie Magni,
Abbie Saline and
Clare Fischer.
The Hardrockers continue to see encouraging results as they posted double digits in PRs, new Hardrocker Top 10 marks and several top 10 finishes.
