RAPID CITY, S.D. – David Crum and South Dakota Mines Athletics has announced
Andy Shaw as the Senior Associate Athletic Director of External Operations for Hardrocker Athletics.
Andy Shaw joins the Hardrocker staff with more than three decades of experience in the athletics industry. Most recently, Shaw was a finalist for the National High School Golf Coach of the Year award while teaching and coaching at St. Thomas More High School in Rapid City.

David Crum said. "Andy will be overseeing our fundraising, corporate sponsorships, and marketing and promotions efforts. We are excited about Andy's familiarity with the Rapid City area and the university, his background in sales and promotions, and his inclusive nature. His experience and connection to the community will be invaluable as we continue with the Rise of the Rockers."
Shaw previously served as a Public Address announcer for Hardrocker Athletics during his time in Rapid City. He has also spent time as a realtor with eXp Realty and Engel & Völkers Black Hills. Shaw was named the Region 4A Golf Coach of the Year six times in his career, once at Lead-Deadwood High School and five times at St. Thomas More High School.

Shaw, originally from Boulder, Colorado, has spent parts of his career in TV marketing, meteorology, realty and fundraising before joining South Dakota Mines. He resides in Rapid City.
