RAPID CITY, S.D. – South Dakota Mines and Athletics Director
David Crum have announced the hiring of
Pacey Moats as the Assistant Athletic Director of Business and Ticket Management.
Pacey Moats comes to Rapid City after spending four years as the Events and Facilities Coordinator at Mid-American Energy RecPlex in West Des Moines, Iowa. In that role, he oversaw ticket sales, box office operations and guest transactions for athletic events. He also assisted with financial operations and sales to support budgeting decisions and operational planning.

David Crum said. "His experience in athletics business operations and budget support will be a tremendous asset to our department. Pacey brings a strong worth ethic, attention to detail and a commitment to serving our coaches and student-athletes. We are confident he will play an important role in supporting the continued growth and success of Hardrocker Athletics."
Moats also served as an Activities Director Intern at Woodward Granger Community School District, as well as a coordinator at the Woodward-Granger Youth Basketball Program.

"I look forward to working closely with our staff and the Rapid City community to elevate our ticketing operations and business processes while ensuring that our dedicated alumni, families and fans have an exceptional experience when supporting our student-athletes.
Moats earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology & Health from Iowa State University and a Master of Arts in Kinesiology & Sport Management from the University of South Dakota.
