DENVER, Colo. --- The South Dakota Mines Cross Country teams competed at the RMAC Championships on Saturday and continue to take steps forward in the program.
The Men finished in ninth with
Tyler Captain finishing as the top finisher, placing in 38
th while running a time of 25:36.7.
Zach Hentschel (52nd, 26:09.8),
Brett Flerchinger (55th, 26:11.2),
Owen Wagner (56th, 26:11.5), and
Tristan Enders (26:14.3, 5:17) all finished just outside the top-50 while Joran Lamoureaux and
Owen Hansmann ran times of 26:31.4 and 26:57.4 to finish in 68th and 79th.
The women also continue to elevate their program as they finished in 10th. The women had two top-50 finishers in
Clare Fischer (44th, 23:02.1), and
Allyson Heiden (49th, 23:27.9).
Abbie Saline,
Alana Howard, and
Adeline Wilson finished in 59th, 67th, and 72th, running times of 24:00.7, 24:15.5, and 24:44.7.
Lillian Knudtson and
Katie Magni finished in 75th and 88th with times of 25:03.7 and 26:06.4.
NEXT UP
South Dakota Mines' season has not come to an end, however, as they host a race next weekend at Hart Ranch Golf Course right here in Rapid City on Saturday.
