COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced the women's basketball preseason poll on Wednesday morning. The RMAC preseason women's basketball coaches' poll is voted on by the league's 15 head coaches. Head Coaches are not allowed to vote for their program.
After winning 3 straight to end the season and bringing nearly everyone back, the women were selected 14th.
Regis was selected 1st with 12 first place votes. Colorado School of Mines earned 1 first place vote, selected 2nd, and CSU Pueblo was selected third, earning 165 points.
South Dakota Mines brings back almost all of their top scorers from a season ago, including
Piper Bauer and
Madelyn Heiser along with top rebounders
Sydnee Durtsche and
Naomi Hidalgo among its 10 returners.
The Hardrockers begin their season in Grand Junction, taking on Texas Permian Basin and West Texas A&M in the Conference Challenge on Nov. 10th and 11th.
