South Dakota Mines Athletics to Feature in Documentary Airing Thursday

RAPID CITY, S.D. --- For months, South Dakota Mines athletics has been researched and filmed for a documentary.

Shoot To Kill NYC was contracted through LG to release a series exclusive to its' NCAA Championships Channel focused on rivalries. In the first episode, releasing Thursday evening at 8:00 p.m. ET the episode will focus on the storied basketball and institutional rivalry between South Dakota Mines and Black Hills State. 

Featured in this documentary will be game footage, on-camera interviews with current coaches, student-athletes, and others associated with the department. "This documentary is an opportunity for people to see and understand the history, tradition, in what is one of the most storied rivalries across the country and a great chance to bring awareness to the rivalry, but also the South Dakota Mines athletic department and institution as a whole," said Athletic Communications Coordinator, Josh Van Valkenburg-Gernert.

This documentary is a timed exclusive to LG, meaning it will be available on LG devices only. It can be found on the LG channels app through LG. It will air on Channel 100 on Thursday evening at 8:00 p.m. ET.
