Barrett grew up in Colorado and attended the University of Concordia-Portland who would shut its doors leading to him finding his way to Rapid City, South Dakota.

In addition to being a part of the basketball team he has created his own business called Rapid Power Boxes LLC that develops, designs, sells and ships products mainly related to outdoor activities.

Student-athlete spotlight is a production of South Dakota Mines athletics and will be a regular addition to the growing Hardrocker Podcast Network and multimedia provided by the Athletic Communications department.
