SPEARFISH, S.D. --- The South Dakota Mines Cross Country teams participated in the 2021 Gage McSpadden Memorial Invite at Black Hills State University on Friday evening.

The male and female teams finished in 2
nd for the Hardrockers.

The top performers on the women's side were
Allyson Heiden, and
Margaret Thompson finishing in the top 10 at 5
th and 6
th with times of 6:49.2, and 7:01.3.
Alyssa Blake and
Katie Magni finished in 11
th and 12
th, while
Nadia Kaczmarz rounded out the top 20,

For the men, Tim Dunham recorded his second consecutive 2
nd place finish. Dunham ran the 6k in a time of 19:30.3. Dunham was joined in the top 10 by
Zach Hentschel who completed the race in a time of 25:36.7.
Owen Hansmann,
Justin Quammen, and
Hunter Prather also finished inside the top 20.

The Hardrockers head to Nebraska on the 24
th for a race hosted by Wayne State College.
