SPEARFISH, S.D. --- The men's and women's Cross-Country teams are back in action on Friday for the first time since their home race to start the season. This time they will be at Black Hills State University.
After the RMAC selected the men's team 12th, and the women's team 14th in the preseason poll, the team had an encouraging performance to start the season
At their season-opening meet, the Hardrocker Women finished in third place, getting a top 10 performance from
Abigaile Saline who finished 8
th, with a time of 20:16.62.
Adeline Wilson,
Ryley Darnell,
Alyssa Franke,
Kayla Parisien, and
Allyson Heiden also finished in the top 20.Â
In the men's race, it was also a third-place finish. Tim Dunham, and Brett Flechinger both came in the top 5, with Dunham finishing 2
nd, and Flerchinger 5
th with times of 25:58.93, and 26:14.24. The Hardrockers had four more men finish in the top 20, with
Owen Wagner,
Zach Hentschel,
Ryan Moen, and
Owen Hansmann coming in 11
th, 13
th, 15
th, and 16
th respectively.
