1. Despite playing well of late, the Hardrockers have started 0-8 after a tough non-conference schedule and opening the RMAC schedule on the road.
2. The Hardrockers had a chance to defeat Regis in their previous contest, leading by 8 points at half-time and defeating them in key statistical categories (shooting percentage, second chance points), and grabbed 39 rebounds as a team.
3. South Dakota Mines has shot the three ball well thus far, shooting 34.2% to sit as second best in the conference.
4. The Hardrockers have also done a good job in protecting the rim as they lead the conference with 4 blocked shots per game which also puts them in a tie for 20th in the NCAA.
