Women's Basketball Looks to Get New Year Started Right

Rapid City, S.D. --- The Hardrocker Women's Basketball team opens the new year with a pair of home games against Western Colorado on Sunday, January 2nd, and Fort Lewis Tuesday January 4th.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

1. Despite playing well of late, the Hardrockers have started 0-11 after a tough non-conference schedule and opening the RMAC schedule with 3 tough opponents.
2. The Hardrockers have had chances to win of late but couldn't pull close games out against Regis and Colorado Christian.
3. South Dakota Mines has shot the three ball well thus far, shooting over 30% to land in the top half of the conference.
4. Free throws have also been a strength, shooting them at the fourth-best mark in the RMAC at 72.1%.
5. The Hardrockers have also done a good job in protecting the rim as they sit in the top-half of the conference, averaging 3.18 blocks per game.
