COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced the women's basketball preseason poll on Wednesday afternoon. The RMAC preseason women's basketball coaches poll is voted on by the league's 15 head coaches. Head Coaches are not allowed to vote for their program.

After finishing the 2019-20 season 11-9, the South Dakota Mines Women's basketball team was selected 8th in the RMAC preseason poll, receiving 110 points.

Colorado School of Mines was selected first, receiving 190 points and 11 first-place votes. Colorado Mesa received two first-place votes and CSU Pueblo and Western Colorado each received 1.

South Dakota Mines has 10 players returning from the 2020-21 roster including 8 of the top 9 scorers from last season.

The Hardrockers head to Texas to start their season on Nov. 12 and 13, taking on West Texas A&M University and Texas Permian Basin.
