PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota Mines Soccer stayed undefeated with a 3-0 victory over Mount Marty on Friday at the PILC Soccer Complex.
The Hardrockers and Lancers started an hour after the scheduled time due to a lightning delay.
Once the match was started,
Nickolas North recorded three shots in the first 18 minutes of the game. He was saved again at the 29:04 mark.
Late in the first half off a corner kick,
Zach Peroff scored off a corner kick from
Bennett Dykstra. It was Peroff's second goal of the season. The Rockers led 1-0 at the end of the first half.
Following another lightning delay at halftime, the Hardrockers put the game away in the beginning of the second half. Peroff scored another goal in the 56
th minute to make the score 2-0.
Three minutes later,
Kaulden Hood picked up a long pass from
Allan Orina and made the score 3-0. That would end the scoring as South Dakota Mines won 3-0.
In total, the Hardrockers totaled 22 shots and eight shots on goal, while Mount Marty recorded just three shots and no shots on goal.
Peroff scored his second and third goals of the season for the Rockers, while Hood picked up his first. North totaled four shots and two shots on goal. Peroff,

Lucas Cardona all collected two shots.
Goalkeeper
Abdo Salem Abdullah picked up his second shutout of the season with the Hardrockers.
What's Next
The Hardrockers will come back home for four of their next five contests. They will host Rocky Mountain on Sept. 10 at 5 p.m., followed by Dakota Wesleyan on Sept. 14 at 5 p.m. Both matches will be played at Dakota Fields.
