RAPID CITY, S.D. – South Dakota Mines Soccer drew Dakota Wesleyan 2-2 on Monday night to move to 2-1-2 overall.
The Hardrockers came out firing in the first half, scoring two goals within the first 26 minutes.
Nickolas North put two shots up within the first 10 minutes. In the 24

Shon West set up
Lucas Miranda for his fourth goal of the season. It was West's fourth assist of the year.
Just two and a half minutes later, North scored off a pass from West. North recorded his third goal and West dished out his RMAC-leading fifth assist. The Rockers put up five more shots in the half but could not convert. They went into halftime with a 2-0 lead.
Dakota Wesleyan scored in the 64
th minute and tied the game in the 75
th minute. The Hardrockers put on five shots down the stretch but could not score. Miranda had a change on net in the 90
th minute but missed it high.
North recorded three shots, two shots on goal and one goal.
Parker Yocom also put up three shots and two shots on target.
Abdo Salem Abdullah made four saves for the Rockers. In total, they had 17 shots and six shots on goal.
What's Next
South Dakota Mines will play a non-conference game at Colorado School of Mines on Sept. 18, followed by a non-conference matchup with Adams State on Sept. 20 at home. RMAC play starts with the Orediggers on Sept. 25 at Dakota Fields.
