Track & Field Ready for Busy Week in Golden and Sioux City

RAPID CITY, S.D. – South Dakota Mines Track & Field is split between Golden and Sioux City this week in three different meets, including the Mines Midweek Meet & Multi, the Sioux City Relays and the Kit Mayer Classic.

The Hardrockers are scheduled to go to the Mines Midweek Meet & Multi on Wednesday and Thursday at Colorado School of Mines. They will send seven throwers to this event.

On Friday and Saturday, 27 Hardrockers will go to the Sioux City Relays, hosted by Morningside and South Dakota.

Finally, six long distance runners will compete at the Kit Mayer Classic at Colorado School of Mines on Saturday.  

Last week at the Grubby's Easter Classic, the Hardrocker men took first place, while the women recorded second. Both Augustus Fink and Isaiah Thurman put up NCAA provisional marks in the hammer throw.

What's Next

The Hardrockers come back home to host the Bauer Open on Apr. 17 at O'Harra Stadium. The RMAC Outdoor Championships are scheduled for Apr. 24-26 in Pueblo, Colorado.
