RAPID CITY, S.D. – South Dakota Mines Track & Field is ready for the DWU Alumni Open this weekend, hosted by Dakota Wesleyan.
The Hardrockers last competed at the Mines Winter Classic and the Don Holst Open last weekend.
Logan Haynie broke the school record in the heptathlon with 4,954 total points in the event at the Mines Winter Classic.
Adisyn Schenck picked up second place in the shot put at the Don Holst Open with her mark of 12.28m.
Two weekends ago, the Hardrocker men's team picked up second place at the UMary Winter Classic, while the women recorded sixth.
Everett Gilbert and
Augustus Fink both hit NCAA DII provisional marks, while Schenck picked up sixth in the shot put.
What's Next
The Hardrockers have two more indoor meets before the RMAC Championship after this weekend. They will go to the SDSU Indoor Classic on Feb. 13-14, followed by the Myrle Hansen Open at Black Hills State on Feb. 21. The RMAC Championship is scheduled for Feb. 27-28.
