RAPID CITY, S.D. – South Dakota Mines Football and head coach
Charlie Flohr have announced the 2026 signing class, highlighted by 30 student-athletes across 10 different states.

Charlie Flohr and South Dakota Mines Football have announced their 2026 signing class. This signing class of 30 student-athletes varies across 10 different states.
The Hardrockers kept their presence in Colorado with 10 total players out of the Centennial State. They also added five players out of Arizona and four from Texas. The Rockers picked up three student-athletes from Minnesota, two out of California and two from South Dakota. They also added one student-athlete from each of Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico and Washington.
South Dakota Mines added three student-athletes with direct ties to the Hardrocker football program. Treydon Baker is the younger brother of current quarterback
Gage Baker. Jake Lester's older brother is
Will Lester, a former All-RMAC honoree. Finally, Mekhi Zacher's father, Mike, holds the all-time sack record at South Dakota Mines.

Treydon Baker | TE | Surprise, Ariz.
A 6'1, 205-pound tight end out of Surprise, Arizona, Treydon Baker is the younger brother of Hardrocker quarterback
Gage Baker. His team at Canyon View High School finished the 2025 season with an 11-3 overall record.
"Treydon was a kid we had in camp," Flohr said. He played all over the field for his high school team. Treydon was a state runner up this past year who has great football smarts. He will add depth to our TE room."
Wyatt Chase | LB | Windsor, Colo.
Wyatt Chase joins the Hardrockers as a 5'11, 200-pound linebacker out of Highland High School. The Huskies finished 7-4 this season with advancement to the second round of the playoffs. He and fellow signee Daryan Shaw are both former Huskies.
"Wyatt is a tough, hard-nosed kid who played both ways in high school," Flohr added. "He is also wrestling right now. He is an explosive kid with a great nose for the football."
Isaiah Cronk | LB | Windsor, Colo.
A 6'2, 205-pound linebacker Isaiah Cronk joins current Hardrocker
Henry Jones as linebackers out of Windsor High School. He is joined by his linebacker teammate Ryan Myers from Windsor. The Wizards went 13-1 overall in 2025 before falling in the state championship.
"Isaiah is an explosive linebacker that is able to run sideline to sideline and make plays all over the field," Flohr said.
Daniel Dickerson | OL | Haslet, Tex.
Daniel Dickerson joins South Dakota Mines as a 6'4, 270-pound offensive lineman out of Eaton High School in Haslet, Texas. Dickerson primary played offensive tackle with the Eagles.
"Daniel is a big-bodied offensive lineman from Texas." Flohr added, " He has a big frame with exceptional feet and strength."
Jack Dieball | OL | Weatherford, Tex.
Another offensive lineman from Texas, Jack Dieball comes to Rapid City as a 6'5, 250-pound tackle. He is out of Brock High School, who finished 14-1 overall in 2025.
"Jack is another offensive lineman with a huge frame," Flohr said. "He is an extremely physical kid with tremendous feet."
Eli Hammons | LB | New Braunfels, Tex.
A 6'2, 205-pound linebacker out of Canyon Lake High School, Eli Hammons joins the Hardrockers from New Braunfels, Texas. He helped guide the Hawks to an 8-4 overall record in 2025.
"Eli is a kid with a huge upside," Flohr exclaimed. "He plays with intense passion and fire on the field. He can run sideline to sideline and make plays out in space."
Cameron Hentsch | DB | Mahtomedi, Minn.
Cameron Hentsch comes to Rapid City as a 6'0, 185-pound defensive back out of Mahtomedi High School. He helped guide the Zephyrs to an 8-2 overall record and a third round appearance in the postseason.
"Cam is a super athletic kid that can play multiple positions as a defensive player." Flohr added, "He has a great nose for the football and the capability of finishing plays."
Henry Hill | WR | Rapid City, S.D.
Henry Hill joins the Hardrockers as a local product out of Rapid City Central High School. The 6-0, 155-pound wide receiver will also run Track & Field for South Dakota Mines.
"Henry was a kid we had in camp," Flohr said. "He is an explosive player with return game capabilities. We are excited to have a local player added to this class. He was coached by former South Dakota Mines assistant Mike McCulley."
Hayden Holdren | QB | Hickman, Neb.
A 6'4, 220-pound quarterback, Hayden Holdren joins the Hardrockers out of Lincoln Standing Bear High School in Lincoln, Nebraska. Holdren is a multi-sport athlete with the Grizzlies, also playing for the baseball team.
"Hayden is truly a pro-style QB with tremendous arm strength," Flohr said. He has the quickness to elude tacklers to get out and run."
Travis Larson | DL | Thatcher, Ariz.
Travis Larson joins the Hardrockers as one of four Arizona natives. The 6'4, 240-pound defensive lineman out of Thatcher High School. He helped the Eagles to a 9-2 record and perfect 6-0 3A East Region record.
"Travis is a long, big-framed kid that plays with an edge as a Defensive lineman," Flohr said.
Cash Layman | DB | Moxee, Wash.
Cash Layman comes to Rapid City as a transfer from Santa Rosa Junior College. This past season, Layman recorded 14 solo tackles and seven assisted tackles. The 5'10, 185-pount defensive back attended Zillah High School in Zillah, Washington.
"Cash is already enrolled at South Dakota Mines," Flohr said. "He is an explosive safety with great ball skills that will provide more depth to our defensive back room."
Jake Lester | OLB | Arvada, Colo.
Jake Lester, a 6'2, 210-pound outside linebacker, joins South Dakota Mines out of Ralston Valley High School. Jake's older brother, Will, was a standout for the Hardrockers since the 2022 season. Lester helped the Mustangs to a 13-1 overall record this past season.
"Jake is a dynamic player with the versatility to play multiple positions in our defensive scheme," Flohr said. "Jake is the brother of former player
Will Lester; he has been around Hardrocker football and knows what our program is all about."
Luke Matherly | DL | Las Cruces, N.M.
Luke Matherly, a 6'1, 240-pound defensive lineman, joins the Hardrockers as the lone New Mexico native. He attends Centennial High School and ran Track & Field along with playing football with the Hawks.
"We are excited to have Luke apart of this signing class," Flohr exclaimed. "Luke is a multisport athlete that is extremely strong and plays with great pad level."
Cam Mitchell | LB | Gilbert, Ariz.
A 6'0, 215-pound linebacker out of Gilbert, Arizona, Cam Mitchell attends Arizona College Preparatory with fellow Hardrocker signees Noah Montoya and AJ Rubbelke.
"Cam is an explosive linebacker," Flohr exclaimed. He is a very instinctive player with a nose for the football."
Noah Montoya | DB | Chandler, Ariz.
Noah Montoya joins South Dakota Mines as a 5'10, 175-pound defensive back out of Arizona College Preparatory. He will be joined by his current teammates Cam Mitchell and AJ Rubbelke next season.
"Noah is a player that has the capability of doing it all from stopping the run as well as covering people man-to-man," Flohr said.
Logan Moon | QB | Moorpark, Calif.
Logan Moon joins Hayden Holdren as the two quarterbacks in this signing class. He comes to Rapid City from Moorpark High School in Moorpark, California. He guided the Musketeers to a 10-2 record this past season. Moon runs Track & Field at Moorpark.
"Logan is an athletic QB," Flohr exclaimed. "Not only can he make plays with his arm, but he also makes them with his feet."
Ryan Myers | OLB | Windsor, Colo.
Ryan Myers is joined by his linebacker teammate Isaiah Cronk out of Windsor High School. He is a 6'2, 225-pound outside linebacker who played a role in the Wizards' state runner-up finish in 2025.
"Ryan is a talented player. We anticipate him playing as a boundary linebacker for us," Flohr added. He is a tough kid with a lot of upside."
Porter Park | DL | Fort Collins, Colo.
Porter Park comes to Rapid City as a 6'0, 250-pound defensive lineman from Fort Collins High School. He is one of three players on the Hardrockers roster out of Fort Collins. Park helped the Lambkins to a 9-3 record this past season.
"Porter is going to bring great depth to our defensive line group," Flohr said. "He is an extremely strong kid with great feet and playmaking ability."
Nick Robinson | DL | Cologne, Minn.
A 6'3, 220-pound defensive lineman from Cologne, Minnesota, Nick Robinsin joins the Hardrockers out of Chaska High School. He guided the Hawks to a 7-3 record this past season. He will be part of the Track & Field team with the Hardrockers.
"Nick is an explosive defensive end from Minnesota," Flohr said. "He has a great frame that he will grow into and help create depth with our Defensive line."
Antonio Reed | DL | Long Beach, Calif.
Antonio Reed joins the roster as a 6'0, 250-pound defensive lineman out of Graceland, an NAIA institution in the HAAC. In the 2025 season, Reed recorded 30 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
"Antonio is a good football player that is currently enrolled at South Dakota Mines. He will come in and add some depth to our defensive line room," Flohr said.
AJ Rubbelke | OL | Chadnler, Ariz.
AJ Rubbelke, a 6'5, 285-pound offensive lineman, joins the Hardrockers as one of three signees from Arizona College Prep. He will be joined by his current teammates Cam Mitchell and Noah Montoya next season.
"AJ is going to add more depth to the offensive line," Flohr said. "AJ plays with tremendous pad level and explosion."
Tré Salas | RB | Fountain, Colo.
Tré Salas, a 5'11, 205-pound running back out of Fountain, Colorado, comes to South Dakota Mines out of Mesa Ridge High School. He and former Hardrocker linebacker
Elijah Davis are both former Grizzlies.
"Tré was a kid we had in camp," Flohr said. "He is a very tough and physical downhill runner. Tré has great ball skills that will make him a threat in the passing game as well."
Daryan Shaw | DB | Timnath, Colo.
A 6'1, 180-pound defensive back out of Highland High School, Daryan Shaw joins fellow signee Wyatt Chase as former Huskies. They finished 7-4 this season with advancement to the second round of the playoffs.
"Daryan is a player with huge upside," Flohr explained. "He played on both sides of the ball in high school. Daryan has great football IQ with the physicality to go along with it."
Dominic Shideler | WR | Loveland, Colo.
Dominic Shideler joins the Hardrockers roster as one of three players from Loveland, Colorado. The 6'3, 170-pound former two-way player helped the Eagles to a 7-4 record in 2025.
"Dom has a big frame with great ball skills. He has the capability to go up and get the ball and be able to stretch the field," Flohr said.
Nathan Simmons | DB | Reno, Nev.
A 5'8, 165-pound defensive back out of Reno, Nevada, Nathan Simmons joins the Hardrockers as the fourth player from Nevada. He helped Bishop Manogue Catholic High School to a 7-5 overall record last season.
"Nathan is tremendous athlete from the state of Nevada," Flohr exclaimed. "He was a two-way player in high school, and we are moving him the defensive side of the ball. Nathan has great coverage and ball skills."
Kash Stark-Kelly | OL | Severance, Colo.
Kash Stark-Kelly comes to Rapid City and is one of two players out of Severance High School. The 6'3, 245-pound offensive lineman will provide more depth to the offensive line.
"Kash is another kid that we feel has the potential to come in and create more depth in our offensive line room," Flohr said. "He has a big frame with great feet and explosiveness."
Eli Swanson | WR | Fort Collins, Colo.
Eli Swanson joins the Hardrockers roster as a 5'11, 180-pound wide receiver out of Fossil Ridge High School in Fort Collins, Colorado. He joins
Harley Schmidt on the Hardrockers as former SaberCats.
"Eli is a tremendous athlete with great speed and ball skills," Flohr said. "He has huge upside as a player."
Reegan Torosian | WR | Georgetown, Tex.
A 6'2, 195-pound wide receiver from Georgetown High School, Reegan Torosian helped guide the Eagles to a 9-3 overall record this past season.
"Reegan played wide receiver and tight end in high school," Flohr said "He has a great football IQ to go with great speed and ball skills."
Kaleb Williams | DL | Lakeville, Minn.
Kaleb Williams joins the roster as one of three signees out of Minnesota. The 6'0, 220-pound defensive lineman guided the Cougars to a 9-3 record and semifinals berth in 2025.
"Kaleb is a tremendously smart football player," Flohr said. "He has a great frame to add more weight onto and is extremely explosive."
Mekhi Zacher | DE | Brandon, S.D.
Mekhi Zacher comes to the west side of South Dakota after winning the Class 11AAA state championship this past season. The 6'1, 215-pound outside linebacker guided the Lynx to an 11-1 record. His dad, Mike Zacher, broke the all-time sacks record at South Dakota Mines with 30 from the 1992-95 seasons
"Mekhi is a great football player with a great frame," Flohr said. "He is a versatile player with great football IQ."
