Ben Servais

Ben Servais was named Director of Performance at South Dakota Mines in August of 2023 and is in his first year on staff.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
  • Along with co-director of performance, Garrett Snook, Servais oversees all of the South Dakota Mines strength and conditioning (performance) programs.
  • Primary sports for Servais are football, women’s basketball and the throws group for track and field.
  • Beginning in 2019, Servais led the department at Southwest Minnesota State University, where he was the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.
  • Prior to his time in Minnesota, Servais at Humboldt State University for six year as strength and recreation coordinator and assistant strength and conditioning coach from 2013-2019.
  • Began his career as a sports performance coach for velocity sports performance, before moving on to a physical therapy aide/exercise specialist for the Results Physical Therapy and Training Center.
  • Servais has earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology (2011) and a master’s degree in kinesiology (2015).
