RAPID CITY, S.D. – South Dakota Mines Track & Field is ready for the RMAC Indoor Championships this weekend in Gunnison, Colorado.
The Hardrockers go to Gunnison for the two-day RMAC Championships from Feb. 27-28 at Western Colorado. Friday's events start with the men's heptathlon and women's pentathlon, followed by both field and track events. The awards presentation is on Saturday at 4:45 p.m.
Augustus Fink was named the RMAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week after he picked up first place in the weight throw and recorded a career-best in the shot put at the Myrle Hansen Open last weekend. Coming into the weekend, Fink ranks second in the RMAC and 12
th in NCAA DII in the weight throw with a 20.34m mark at the SDSU Indoor Classic.
