Rocker Track & Field Ready for SDSU Indoor Classic This Weekend

RAPID CITY, S.D. – South Dakota Mines Track & Field is out east this weekend at the SDSU Indoor Classic in Brookings.

The Hardrockers are coming off their meet last weekend at the DWU Alumni Open at Dakota Wesleyan. Augustus Fink and Joran Lamoreaux highlighted for the Rockers, breaking South Dakota Mines records in the weight throw and 3000m events, respectively. Emma Moody won the 400m and Emily Jones took home first in the mile.

At the SDSU Indoor Classic last season, the Hardrockers broke four different school records. The men's 3000m, women's 5000m, men's distance medley and women's distance medley records were all broken in Brookings. 18 different Hardrockers saw personal records in that meet.

What's Next

South Dakota Mines will compete in their last regular season indoor meet next week at the Myrle Hansen Open in Spearfish, South Dakota. The RMAC Indoor Championships are scheduled for Feb. 27-28 in Gunnison, Colorado.
