RAPID CITY, S.D. – South Dakota Mines Track & Field is split this weekend between the Mines Winter Classic at Colorado School of Mines and the Don Holst Open at Chadron State.
The Hardrocker men's team is coming off a second-place performance at the UMary Winter Classic last weekend. Two Hardrockers hit NCAA DII provisional marks in Bismarck.
Everett Gilbert recorded a 2.04m high jump and
Augustus Fink's throw of 18.50m in the weight throw gave them both provisional marks.
Adisyn Schenck highlighted for the women's team with a sixth-place performance in the shot put.
Emily Jones ran a 1:43.77 in the 600m for ninth place.
Three Hardrockers will be at the Mines Winter Classic in Golden, Colorado, this weekend.
Trevor Fredenburg,
Logan Haynie and
William Ventling will all compete in the heptathlon. The rest of the teams will be at the Don Holst Open at Chadron State.
What's Next
The Hardrockers will go east next weekend to compete in the DWU Alumni Open at Dakota Wesleyan. After that, they will go to the SDSU Indoor Classic on Feb. 13-14.
