RAPID CITY, SD – South Dakota Mines Soccer is set to face Jamestown on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Dakota Fields.
Series History
Jamestown leads South Dakota Mines 1-0 in their all-time history. That match was the third-ever match in program history for the Hardrockers. Jamestown won that match 2-0 on Sept. 8, 2012. This will be their first NCAA matchup as the Jimmies are in their first season as NCAA Division-II members in the NSIC.
About the Jimmies
Jamestown is 1-0 this season after defeating Minnesota Morris on Thursday with a final score of 4-3. Jake Simson recorded a hat trick in that match with his nine shots and six shots on goal. Greg Semsarian also scored a goal in that match.
While the Jimmies are the newest members of the NSIC, men's soccer competes independently. Last season, Jamestown went 3-9-3 overall with an 0-2 record in the NSAA.
About the Hardrockers
South Dakota Mines left Colorado Christian on Thursday with a 1-1 draw to open the 2025 season.

In the RMAC Preseason Poll, South Dakota Mines was picked to finish in 11
th place. They went 1-14-2 and 1-7-2 in the RMAC last season. This match will be the first for head coach
Teren Schuster at Dakota Fields.

The Hardrockers will go on a two-match road trip at Dakota Wesleyan on Sept. 12 and at Air Force on Sept. 14. They will be back home on Sept. 20 to face Trinity Bible at 11 a.m.
