RAPID CITY, SD – South Dakota Mines Cross Country is back in action on Friday at the Roy Griak Invitational at the University of Minnesota.
Both teams were last in action at the Gage McSpadden Memorial Invite on Sept. 5 at Fort Meade.
Joran Lamoreaux highlighted for the Hardrockers with his 18:44.5 in the 6k. He picked up second place with his new career-best 6k time. He guided the men to a third-place finish. For the women,
Addison Smetana ran a 15:49.2 in the 4k to pick up 15
th place for the Hardrockers.
At the Roy Griak Invitational last season, both teams finished in the top half of their field. Lamoreaux placed 17
th with a time of 26:37.1 in the 8k. He guided the men to a ninth-place finish, while the women picked up 12
th.
The invitational takes place at Les Bolstad Golf Course and live scoring will be available.

South Dakota Mines is back in action on Oct. 10 at the Yellowjacket/Battlin' Bears Open in Billings, Montana. The Hardrockers will head to the RMAC Championship on Oct. 25 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
