COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The South Dakota Mines indoor track and field team finished up their regular schedule on Saturday in the second day of the RMAC Championships.
Highlights of the meet were all-conference finishes from
Michael Thompson,
Cole Storlie,
Cooper Stevens,
Gus Fink,
Aidan Thompson, and
Adisyn Schenck.
Michael Thompson finished fifth in the high jump, posting a mark of 1.89m/6'2.25" to set a new PR.
Stolie cleared the bar at 4.62m/15'1.75" in the pole vault to finish in sixth and set a new PR and top-10 mark.
Stevens grabbed a sixth-place finish in the shot put. He threw 15.08m/49'5.75".
Fink also nabbed a second team all-conference spot, finishing sixth in the weight throw, hitting a distance of 18.24m/59'10".
Aidan Thompson finished fourth in the heptathlon, earning a second team all-conference finish. His 4,849 points earn him a provisional qualifying mark, personal record and #2 Hardrocker Top-10 mark.
Adisyn Schenck set a new #2 Hardrocker Top-10 mark and finished fourth in the women's shot put, throwing 13.23m/43'5".
Overall, the men finished in ninth with 22 points, while the women scored five points to finish in 12th.
