RAPID CITY, S.D. – The South Dakota Mines indoor track and field teams have a big meet on the horizon as they head to South Dakota State this weekend for the two-day SDSU Indoor Classic.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Last weekend, the Hardrockers competed in Brookings at the SDSU Indoor Classic and saw excellent results.
 
The meet was highlighted by Owen Hansmann, Allyson Heiden, the men's distance medley and the women's distance medley relay team setting new school records. Hansmann in the men's 3000m run with a time of 8:34.87, Heiden in the 5,000m run (17:54.38), the men's DMR with a time of 10:22.66 and the women's with a time of 12:46.31.
 
For the men, Cole Dobberstein, Aidan Thompson, Sawyer Rueckert and Owen Hansmann ran the record breaking DMR while for the women it was Addison Smetana, Katie Magni, Abbie Saline and Clare Fischer.
