COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Will Lester of South Dakota Mines Football has been named the RMAC Defensive Player of the Week in his last game as a Hardrocker.
On Senior Day,
Will Lester filled the stat sheet. He picked up a fumble and returned it for 51 yards and a touchdown, the first touchdown of his career. Lester totaled 11 tackles in the game, including six solo tackles. He also had one sack for the Hardrockers. He helped South Dakota Mines to a 45-21 victory over Adams State.
In his four-year career, Lester recorded 222 total tackles, including 103 this season. He had 13.5 tackles for loss, 16 pass breakups, three sacks, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
What's Next
The All-RMAC teams will come out later this month, followed by the all district teams and CSC Academic All-America teams.
